DESCRIPTION:The following components will be covered in this 30-Hour Advanced Family Mediation Training Course: Family law\, such as the division of resources\, parenting plans\, and an summary of the legal system and terminology related to family law\; family dynamics\, such as blended families and family structures\; family violence\, such as screening\, statutory requirements\, anger management\, mediation safety plans\, and reporting laws and processes\; child development\, such as the influence and response to divorce and phases of development\; practice considerations\, such as ethics\, cultural consciousness\, self-awareness\, and styles of mediation\; and conflict resolution skills\, such as communication techniques\, relationship-building\, problem solving\, the conflict resolution model\, and referrals to specialized support services. Please note: Registrant must have access to a personal computer with a working camera and microphone and must be physically present for the entire duration of the training. This course meets the standards described for court-referred mediation under Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code Ann.  154.052 and meets and/or exceeds TMTR/TMCA 30 Hour Training Standards.
