About Us
Since 1981, MCEA has assisted clients with temporary financial assistance for rent and utilities during a crisis. In 2012, over 10,000 individuals were served with food, clothing, rent, or utility assistance. MCEA offers resources to clients throughout the county with offices in Willis, Conroe, Magnolia, the Woodlands, New Caney, and Montgomery. Call 936.539.9211 of help in a crisis. Donations of food, clothing, furniture, and hygiene accepted Monday -Friday in Conroe. MCEA has 2 resale shops-Unique Resale at 1717 N. Frazier in Conroe, and the Odds and Ends Bargain store open Thursday-Saturday at 1022 McCall in Conroe. The MCEA Food Pantry is a ''Client Choice'' model that allows clients to choose the foods they want while keeping their self-esteem and dignity.
