Beacon at the Blue Magnolia

We are honored to invite you to our 5th Annual Fall Fundraiser: Beacon at the Blue Magnolia: A Southern Evening of Music and Meaning. Please join us on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 6:30 10: 30 PM at our new venue, The Blue Magnolia.

 

We can’t wait to gather with you for an evening of purpose, celebration, and community with musical guests, The Dryes, whose harmonies captured national attention on The Voice. As we enter our fifth year, we pause first to express gratitude to the supporters who helped turn vision into action. Because of you, the Beacon Access Center is now open and alive with purpose. Enrollment continues to grow, services are expanding, and what began as an idea is now a strong and promising foundation.

 

Like a song building toward its refrain, Project Beacon is gaining clarity, confidence, and momentum. The startup nature of Project Beacon means we are navigating the inherent tension between ambitious growth and limited resources while remaining
unwavering in our commitment to innovation and impact. 

 

Traditional IDD services have not kept pace with the realities facing adults with autism and their families. We are challenging that status quo and intentionally making Montgomery County, Texas, a proving ground for what is possible. What succeeds here has the potential to reshape how communities across the country support neurodivergent adults and their families.

 

Like any transformative movement, our next chapter requires deeper partnership. Our vision is ambitious by necessity. To expand our services, build sustainable opportunities, and create longterm residential solutions, it will take a true
publicprivate partnership with leaders willing to invest in work that is innovative, lifechanging, and scalable.

 

The Blue Magnolia is more than just a beautiful setting; it’s a symbol. Magnolias come in many forms: some are evergreen while others shed their leaves annually, some are small shrubs while others grow into towering trees. They bloom at different times, carry different fragrances, and bear unique names.

In the same way, the individuals we serve are wonderfully diverse. Each brings their own strengths, talents, and perspectives. And when brought together, they create something truly extraordinary, something greater than the sum of its parts.
