The Montgomery County Trauma-Informed Task Force invites you to the 2022 Childhood Trauma Impact Conference on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center (9055 Airport Road) in Conroe, Texas. During this one-day conference featuring nationally-recognized speakers, you will learn more about what is happening within Montgomery County and across the state of Texas regarding childhood trauma. Representatives from about a dozen county agencies make up the Task Force, including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the District Attorney’s Office, the County Court of Law #3 which is Montgomery County’s dedicated child welfare court, the Department of Family and Protective Services, CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County, Montgomery ISD, and Conroe ISD, among others. The Montgomery County Trauma-Informed Task Force is the result of more than three years of efforts to educate and inform the community about the impact of childhood trauma and the need to come together to better serve vulnerable children in Montgomery County.
