Virtual Boot Walk to End Cancer

The fifth annual Boot Walk to End Cancer will be unlike any before! This year, we're going virtual in an effort to keep you, your family and our communities safe.

From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has prioritized the safety and health of our patients, our workforce and our community. We will continue to uphold those priorities as we encourage you to join us virtually for the most unique Boot Walk yet.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, people across the country will walk 1.2 miles in their own neighborhoods, demonstrating that together, we can give cancer the boot! Even though we won’t be walking side-by-side on MD Anderson’s campus, we remain stronger when we come together as a community committed to end cancer.

The Boot Walk to End Cancer is an annual fundraiser that provides support for patient programs, research, prevention and education at MD Anderson. One hundred percent of funds raised by participants directly advance MD Anderson's mission to end cancer. There is no registration fee. We encourage participants to fundraise with no minimum fundraising requirement. 

Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, you are invited to participate in weekly challenges which support our mission to end cancer. From getting active to fundraising tips, these challenges will bring you one step closer to event day.

Your 1.2 mile walk in the safety of your neighborhood and in the company of your household will be an opportunity to share your story and celebrate your success. All ages are welcome to participate. There's fun for the entire family!
