The Montgomery Historical Society is a volunteer-supported, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history, culture, and historic character of Montgomery, Texas. Through preservation projects, educational programs, tours, events, memberships, and donations, the Society works to keep local history alive and protect Montgomery’s legacy for future generations.
The N.H. Davis Pioneer Complex and Museum is owned and maintained by the Montgomery Historical Society as part of its commitment to preserving downtown Montgomery’s historic buildings and stories. The Society cares for the museum and its collections so visitors can experience pioneer life, early Montgomery history, and the town’s proud connection to the birthplace of the Texas flag. Support from donations, grants, volunteers, memberships, and community events helps the nonprofit continue maintaining the museum and sharing its history with the public.
