Brian joined The Strong Firm P.C. in 2012, and his practice focuses on the firm’s Corporate, Real Estate, and Business Transactions practice groups. Having previously worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies in various fields, Brian uses his skills and experience in representing clients in a variety of business transactions and counseling on general corporate and other business matters. His practice involves representation of strategic investors, private equity groups, private and public corporations, nonprofit organizations, and other entities in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private debt and equity securities, purchase and sale of assets, financing related transactions, and other commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating contracts for various matters.

Kristen joined The Strong Firm P.C. as an experienced associate in August 2017. Prior to joining The Strong Firm P.C., she was an associate attorney at Hughes Watters & Askanase, L.L.P. in Houston where she represented business clients in civil litigation, real estate and bankruptcy matters. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. Kristen is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas. While a student at the University of Houston Law Center, Kristen competed on the University’s Moot Court Team and served as a contributing editor to the Houston Law Center-based Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law.

Bret L. Strong

The founder and managing shareholder of The Strong Firm P.C., Bret has been a resident and an active community leader in The Woodlands, Texas for over 25 years. He spent 11 years with Shell Oil Company in areas of contracting, finance, and information services prior to becoming licensed in the legal field and establishing his practice in The Woodlands in 1996. Bret enjoys participating in all sorts of outdoor sporting activities, including skiing, running, biking, and swimming. He competes in triathlons and is a three-time Ironman triathlon finisher.

Eric Thiergood

Eric joined The Strong Firm, P.C. in 2005 as a law clerk and became an associate in May 2007. Thiergood received his Juris Doctorate from the South Texas College of Law and is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. Having lived in Asturias, Oropesa Del Mar, and Madrid, Spain, Eric is fluent in Spanish and uses this skill in his work with some of the firm’s international Spanish-speaking clients. Thiergood’s practice includes entity structuring and formation, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial financing. Eric has served as lead counsel on mergers and acquisitions ranging from $500,000 to $61.3 million and on commercial loans ranging from $1.2 million to $2.0 billion with his most recent being the restructuring of a $1.5 billion complex syndicated commercial loan.
