Free Conroe Workshop to Help Community Members Build Public Speaking Confidence

CONROE, Texas — Conroe-area residents will have an opportunity to strengthen their communication skills in a welcoming, judgment-free environment during Principles of Public Speaking: Pitches, Proposals, and Presentations, a free educational workshop taking place Friday, July 31, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Presented by Payed Processing, the 90-minute workshop will be held at the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce, located at 505 W. Davis St. in Conroe. The Chamber is providing the venue for the event. Payed Processing has been a member of the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce for more than a year.

The workshop will provide practical techniques for organizing ideas, presenting information clearly, speaking with greater confidence, and connecting more effectively with an audience. Participants will also have opportunities to practice their speaking skills, ask questions, and receive constructive, friendly feedback.

The workshop is guided by a principle attributed to author and motivational speaker Jim Rohn: “Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly until you learn to do it better.”

The event is designed to give people a safe place to practice, make mistakes, and improve. It is open to speakers of all experience levels, including business owners, entrepreneurs, sales professionals, nonprofit leaders, community leaders, college and high school students, and anyone interested in becoming a stronger communicator.
